Irregularities

Almost everywhere you look there are suspicious inconsistencies with the flight that start well before the flight took off.

Why did KAL007 make over 53 radio calls in the space of 5 minutes during the landing phase on its arrival to Anchorage. Normally the landing is the most complex part of a flight and the crew would not spend much time on radio.

Why did Captain Chun take out a large life insurance policy just one week prior to the flight despite his wife saying this would be his last flight before he retired

Why did the fuel load differ by 10,000 lbs between the Flight Release sheet and the Weight and Balance manifest. Why was the Fuel Distribution Chart compiled by dispatcher not included in ICAO report.

Why did the weight and balance sheet only show 238 passengers on board when the total excluding the crew should have been 266?

Why were there large number of hand written annotations on the flight plan showing premeditated course changes and activities?

Why did the Space shuttle suddenly remove a paying 3.5 tonne satellite and replace it with a ‘dummy payload’ just hrs before launch? The Space shuttle launched just one day prior to the incident and just happened to be passing over Sakhalin at the time in question.

Why was Anchorage VOR shut down just 1 hr before 007’s takeoff

Why was there a disproportionate amount of Sky king Sky King messages prior to KAL007’s take off

Why did KAL-007 require KAL-015 to relay position reports simulating a radio failure?

Why did the pilots fail to notice they were so far off course despite the numerous ways available to them to alert them to the fact.

Why did Anchorage air traffic control not warn KAL-007 it was heard for Russian territory when it was clear they were fully aware it was doing so?

Why did the Japanese air traffic control not warn KAL-007 it was headed over Sakhalin?

Why did ICAO investigation not follow their own rules for aircraft crash investigation and undertake the investigation themselves? i.e. if crashed in Russian territory, the investigation should have been lead by Russia, if crashed in international waters (the official claim) then the investigation should have been lead by Korea.

Why did the CIA order the NTSB to stop their investigation and hand over all documents just 2 hrs after the incident?

Why did the CIA issue the false report that the plane had landed safely in Sakhalin?

Why did Korean Airlines make a statement that the plane had 12 hrs of fuel onboard despite the pre flight paper work showing only 10 hrs maximum fuel?

Why did KAL-007 take 7 minutes longer to reach cruising altitude than its sister flight KAL-015?

Why did KAL-015 immediately request to climb to a higher altitude after achieving their Anchorage assigned altitude?

Why did KAL007 travel slower for the start of its journey and why did KAL015 travel faster than its designated Mach 0.84 during the same period.

Why did KAL007 climb at a steady IAS of 310 knots when a typical heavy 747 uses a stepped IAS during climb phase.

Why were all the Anchorage radar tapes destroyed and not available to the IACO investigation?

Why were all the Japanese radar tracks not released?

Why did the ICAO investigation conclude the aircraft followed a constant magnetic heading when Russian radar over Kamchatka and Sakhalin clearly show deliberate turns?

Why did ICAO choose to ignore Russian radar tracks showing two aircraft travelling at supersonic speed over Kamchatka when these tracks were published in their own report.

Why did KAL-007 not issue a mayday call at any time?

How is it possible a missile can travel 8km in 1 second?: This is the exact transcript as described on Sept 6th UN meeting from the Soviet interceptor:- Distance to target is 8 (kilometres). “3.26 20’ I have executed the launch. “3.26 21’ The target is destroyed.”

Why were the Narita air traffic controller recordings cut from the tape in the critical area from 18:27:XX to 18:38 UTC which was the period from the last supposed call from KAL-007 to it disappearing from radar?

Why were the Narita tapes cut at 18:38 UTC when the NHK tapes clearly show KAL-007 communicating with KAL-015 and KAL-050 at 19:12 UTC?

Why did the US immediately blame the Soviets for shooting the plane when there was and still is no evidence they did so?

Why did the official recording of the Narita ATC tape have all the channels superimposed and an additional 1600Hz tone (electric razor) added when NHK obtained a clean copy of the same tapes with separate channels?

Why did the original Japanese radar track published differ by 50km to the following published radar track and why could a small interceptor be seen on radar much further than the giant 747?

Why did the first piece of debris to be found on Sept 6th arrive at a spot ‘Chas Beach’ not possible to have come from Sakhalin?

Why did debris from the plane arrive simultaneously on the beaches of Sakhalin and northern Hokkaido 8 days after incident?

Why was debris found as far south as Murakami (35km north of Niigata)?

Why did the search only last 6 weeks? Contrast with MH370 still ongoing after 11 years

Why did the Japanese and US version of events differ so greatly? The Japanese stated a Mig-23 interceptor briefly crossed the path of KAL-007 before shooing the missile where as the US state a SU-15 tracked the plane for 20 mins. The Japanese say the missile was fired at 18:26:02 and the plane ‘exploded’ in the sky and disappeared from radar at 18:28 but the US state that the plane slowly descended in a wide arc and was lost from radar at 18:38.

Why did official radar tracks show large altitude changes of KAL-007 over Sakhalin prior to missile strike despite the crew reporting completely different (assigned) altitude?

How did KAL manage to make its last radio call despite the Soviet interceptor pilot saying the missile had taken out 1/2 the left wing. The left wing houses the HF radio antenna at its tip and KAL007 was out of VHF range with Tokyo at the time?

Why did KAL-007 communicate in Korean to another aircraft shortly after takeoff from Anchorage?

Why did Sy Hersh try to coverup and distort the Chidori Maru’s eyewitness account?

Why did the engine cowl logo discovered on wreckage not match that of KAL-007’s engine logo?

Why did a US Ferret satellite just happen to be overhead during both Kamchatka and Sakhalin overpasses?

Why did the black box recorders show the plane taking off one minute earlier than KAL-007 actually took off? Why did they only record two engine parameters?

Why were no bodies ever recovered?

Why was US military aircraft wreckage including used injector seat, EF-111 leading edge and carbon fibre bulkhead found at the official crash site?

Why did ICAO completely ignore the possibility the flight was intentional?

Why did the Japanese go to DEFCON3 at 6am, 35 minutes after KAL007 was supposedly shot down and simultaneously most, if not all, of the B-52s at the U.S. Strategic Air Force Base near Pensacola, Florida, take off and remain in the air for a number of hours – not substantiated, no evidence?

Why did the black boxes show KAL007 took of at 12:58:38 GMT when it actually took of at 13:00:00 GMT

Why do the black boxes show the missile impact was at 18:23:14 GMT and aircraft crashed at 18:24:56 GMT (the times the Soviets claimed from the start) but the official account has the missile at 18:26:02 and plane crashing at 18:38:00GMT. The Soviets state that the aircraft crashed inside territorial waters north of Nevelesk but ICAO states that the crash site was in international waters.

Why does the CVR At six minutes and thirty seconds from the beginning of the tape, there is an announcement in the cabin in Korean, English, and Japanese: It is now 0300 hours local time. We land in three hours. We will he providing breakfast. On an oceanic night flight, passengers are never awakened for their breakfast three hours before arrival. The maximum is an hour and a half.

Why does the ICAO report state that KAL007 flew a constant magnetic heading of 245deg but the Russian analysis of the black boxes in 1983 show a constant 249 deg heading. A 245deg magnetic heading would bring KAL007 over Hokkaido. Even ICAO in the 1983 report (Chart 5) shows a magnetic heading of 245 deg completely misses Sakhalin and would cross Hokkaido. Wind direction that night would also push aircraft further south away from Sakhalin, not towards it.

Why do the CVR and DFDR not record the same amount of radio transmissions, 29 recorded on DFDR and only 6 on CVR

DFDR 9 on HF l, 4 on HF 2, 4 on VHF 1, 4 on VHF 2, 8 on VHF 3

CVR 4 on HF l, none on HF 2, none on VHF 1, none on VHF 2, 2 on VHF 3

Why did the black box DFDR only have a hand written serial number

Why did ICAO report state that the DFDR can only record 24hrs 48 minutes of data but the same report on page 30 states that there was 27 hrs of data recorded

Why does the ICAO report state that according to Korean airlines the following parameters are always recorded: engine-pressure ratio for the four engines, UTC, VOR/ILS, GWPS but none of these parameters are recorded.

Why does the DFDR show KAL007 landing at Anchorage at an angle of 70deg but Anchorage has no runways at this angle. The nearby Elmendorf AFB at Anchorage has a runway at 70deg.

Why did the DFDR recordings of the take off from Anchorage not match that of Air traffic control from Anchorage. KAL007 given authorisation for entering runway at 12:58 but no communications recorded on DFDR at this time despite KAL007 clearly stating “Ready for takeoff.” Aircraft rolls for 52 seconds on DFDR before takeoff but rolls for 1 minute 47 seconds according to ATC.

Why does KAL007 on DFDR exceed the 250knot maximum allowable airspeed below 10,000 applicable to all civilian aircraft. The DFDR clearly shows the speed increased to 310knots at 6000feet.

Why did ICAO state (paragraph 1.14.3.9.1 ) that 23 seconds after liftoff a turn was initiated to 220deg matching the DFDR recording. However KAL007 did not commence the turn until after receiving clearance from Anchorage ATC at 13:00:40 which KAL-007 acknowledged at 13:00:50. An airliner in bona fide operation could not have turned earlier for it would not yet have received its heading instructions of 220 degrees from the controller and would not have known it should turn to that heading.

Chart6 in the ICAO report states KAL007 was at cruise speed of 310IAS at 31,000ft. This corresponds to to TAS of 518knots or Mach 0.882. This exceeds the maximum permissible speed of Mach 0.84. (Need to confirm conversion IAS -> TAS is correct)

Why are the 5 simultaneous radio channels recorded on the DFDR when only 3 can be made on a 747. Why would KAL007 be using HF radio 1 and 2 during the landing phase at Anchorage? HF radio is used for long distance communications. HF is never used over the American continent by civilian aircraft, and this plane was supposed to have flown from New York to Anchorage.

The 1983 Soviet analysis indicates that the aircraft maintained a speed of 910-920 kilometers per hour (565-570 miles per hour). The DFDR indicates a speed of 310 knots, for a true airspeed of 1,008 kilometers (626 miles) per hour. In light of these comparisons it is worth asking how the ICAO in 1993 and the Soviets in 1983 obtained such different data from what is supposed to have been the same black box.

Why did Ronald Reagan on Sept 5 in his address to the nation state that it was a clear night with a half moon when the reality was cloud cover to 31,000 and the moon was low on the horizon and less than 1/4 crescent.

Why did Ronald Reagan on Sept 5 in his address to the nation state that “we will never know” why the aircraft deviated from its course. This was despite the black boxes having a high chance of being recovered in shallow water and their batteries still be able to last another 25 days.

Why are there clear splice marks and other clear editing on the tape present by Jean Kirkpatrick to the UN despite her clear statement to the world this was not the case.

Why did Soviet interceptors scramble 30 minutes AFTER KAL007 was shot down?

Why did BOTH the Anchorage and Narita ATC Tapes not include the last 6 minutes of KAL’s flight

Why were there no Soviet ground to air communications recorded despite amateur radio enthusiasts easily able to record the same using home made equipment from Wakkanai. Most likely the presence of 7 x RC135’s as stated by the Soviets down the Kuril chain is the obvious answer.

Why was the Narita tape as handed over by the Japanese government in 1985 such poor quality compared to the tape from NHK

Why At 10:30 a.m. on August 11, an aircraft of KAL, accompanied by an RC-135 reconnaissance plane, reportedly arrived at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington. Immediately after arrival, it was towed to the far end of the airfield to Building 1752. That’s where I-Systems operates. This Dallas, Texas-based Pentagon and CIA contractor specializes in electronic equipment. It is believed that the Korean plane was equipped there with electronic gear, the type of which is not specified. At 6:40 p.m. on August 14, the plane departed Andrews, again in the company of an RC-135. According to initial reports, the aircraft’s tail number was HL 7442”;
